| I see the manual says that all flexible fuel hose should be covered in convoluted sleeving. I'm not convinced by this as it means the IVA tester can't easily see the markings on the hose, and you could argue that potentially damaged/persihed hoss is hidden away. Anyone have any experience of the IVA tester's view? |

That's news to me, none of mine are wrapped in convoluted tubing other than where they touch a chassis tube, athough mine was SVA'd as opposed to IVA's.
Can you point me in the direction of the page/section of the manual where you read that and I'll go away and have a read of it, but doesn't sound right. _________________ www.mx5westfield.co.uk |

Ah I'm with you now, it's in the Westfield Build manual not the IVA manual which is why I couldn't find anything about it I think I'd probably put my copy of the build manual down and was guessing by that point with mine
You should only need to fit the convoluted tube where there is a risk of abrasion to the fuel pipe through vibration. A couple of examples of this are shown below for the breather to the carbon cannister where this presses against the underside of the boot box and also for the connection from the fuel pump outlet to my fuel filter as mine contacts the bolt for the lower wishbone. I also have short lengths of convoluted tubing in the engine bay where the fuel lines join to the fuel rail as there is a risk of them vibrating against the casting of the inlet manifold.
